Wine, flowers, and music in the Farnese village of Ronciglione
Over the weekend of May 30th and 31st, 2026, the historic center of Ronciglione, in the province of Viterbo, hosts "Calici in Fiore," the spring version of the Farnese Fair, now in its seventh edition. For two days, the village, nestled between the volcanic lakes of Vico and the hills of Tuscia, transforms into an immersive food, wine, and sensory trail where wine meets flowers, light, and live music.
The heart of the event is the tasting experience: 12 excellent local wineries have been selected to offer a selection of over 40 labels. With a glass in hand, enthusiasts and curious visitors can wander through the heart of the town, alternating sips with the unique flavors of the traditional Farnese gastronomy, featuring local products and specialties scattered along the village streets.
Squares and alleys are illuminated by spectacular floral and light installations, creating postcard-perfect views at every corner. Spring and light take center stage, enhancing the architecture of the medieval and Renaissance village and turning the walk into an experience best enjoyed as evening falls.
The evening program accompanies visitors with a musical crescendo: the live notes of a harp open the evening in an intimate and refined atmosphere, giving way to the energy of various musical groups and finally an engaging DJ set, embellished by live performances of electric violin and sax. Throughout the days, dedicated guided tours and various activities are available to discover the historical secrets of the city.
The Farnese Fair pays homage to the Farnese family, who between the Middle Ages and the modern era made Ronciglione an important craft hub, with tanneries, copper works, ironworks, and printing houses serving the Papal States. The village, one of the protagonists of the 2023 Borgo dei Borghi, still retains a highly charming urban layout, the ideal setting for an event that intertwines gastronomy, culture, and local identity.
Promoted by the Municipality of Ronciglione with the contribution of Arsial of the Lazio Region, "Calici in Fiore" confirms itself as a major attraction for the Viterbo Tuscia and the entire Lazio region, capable of combining the promotion of local wine production with the pleasure of a slow stroll among flowers, lights, and music. An opportunity to discover Ronciglione in one of its most evocative guises, between Farnese tradition and spring atmospheres.
