The patronal feast of Fara Vicentino

Fara Vicentino, a town in the Vicenza foothills at the foot of the Asiago Plateau, celebrates its patron saint Bartholomew — "San Bortolo" in the local dialect — with "Far Festa a Fara", the most anticipated festival of the year. The event, held towards the end of August, transforms Piazza Arnaldi into the beating heart of the town for six evenings of celebration.

Polastro and fasoi, the traditional dish

The specialty that identifies the festival is "polastro e fasoi", spit-roasted chicken served with beans, a simple and tasty dish rooted in the peasant cuisine of the Vicenza area. The food stand opens every evening from 7:00 PM, offering this and other local specialties.

Six evenings of entertainment

The program is rich and designed for all ages: evenings of music and dancing, majorette performances, DJ sets, shows for children, the unmissable lottery, and the funfair for the little ones. A program that combines fun and conviviality.

A community celebration

Organized by the Pro Loco Fara Vicentino, the San Bortolo Festival is an event of identity for the town and the entire foothills area of Vicenza. It's an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Veneto region and to experience the genuine atmosphere of a local village festival.
