Five days dedicated to family, health, and community in Monte Urano
The Family Festival is an event promoted by the Municipality of Monte Urano, a small town in the Province of Fermo in the Marche region, through the Department of Social and Family Policies. For five consecutive days, the city transforms its public spaces into places for meeting, reflection, and sharing, with a program designed for all ages: children, young people, families, and the elderly.
One of the distinctive features of the event is its focus on health and prevention. In collaboration with the AsPO of the Province of Fermo, the festival offers informative evenings and free screenings: among the most popular initiatives are the meeting dedicated to the prevention of thyroid diseases and free thyroid ultrasounds, by reservation. There is also space for discussions on sensitive topics such as degenerative diseases, support for family caregivers, and memory.
The program intertwines local culture with a look towards the future. Workshops dedicated to murals in dialect and the valorization of local traditions are featured, alongside reflection sessions on the impact of artificial intelligence on human relationships. There are also events dedicated to animal care, with workshops on adoption and responsible pet ownership.
The evenings offer entertainment for the whole family: from a Franciscan-inspired musical to magic and mentalism shows by magician Andrea Paris, to outdoor games and recreational activities. The concluding Sunday features a walk through nature and history and initiatives dedicated to active aging, to close the festival on a convivial note.
Free and open to all, the Monte Urano Family Festival takes place in the Public Gardens, the Multipurpose Hall, and Piazza Verdi, with the patronage of the Province of Fermo and the Marche Region. It is an opportunity to rediscover the value of community and intergenerational bonds in one of the most industrious villages in the Fermo area.
For the 2026 edition, the Municipality of Monte Urano offered a packed schedule of events from May 20 to 24.
The event takes place in the center of Monte Urano (FM), between the Public Gardens, the Multipurpose Hall, and Piazza Verdi.
By car: take the Porto Sant'Elpidio exit from the A14 motorway, then provincial roads inland (about 10 km). By train: Porto Sant'Elpidio station on the Adriatic line, connected by local buses. Nearest airport: Ancona-Falconara.
Admission to events is free. Some activities, such as free ultrasounds, require booking.
