The life of Jesus told in fourteen dioramas, in the heart of the Nativity Scene City
In Ponte San Pietro, in the Isola Bergamasca, the art of the nativity scene does not end with Christmas. The exhibition "Until the End" brings dioramas to Easter time, telling the entire life of Jesus in fourteen scenes ranging from infancy to the Passion and Resurrection. It is an initiative of the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity Scene, which has its headquarters here and makes this municipality in the province of Bergamo a national reference point for nativity art.
The fourteen scenes are the work of two renowned sculptors: Martin Castells, from Barcelona, and Raffaele De Angelis, from Foggia. Their dioramas are distinguished by their attention to detail, skillful use of perspective, and narrative intensity, capable of transforming matter into storytelling. The visitor is guided along a path that is both aesthetic and spiritual, suitable for all ages.
The exhibition is set up in the Annunciation Chapel, inside the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul, in the center of Ponte San Pietro. The solemnity of the place amplifies the power of the scenes, which retrace the key moments of the Gospel. The exhibition is part of the tradition that has made the town the "Nativity Scene City", capable of offering quality sacred art throughout the year.
The exhibition is held during the Easter period, with hours designed to welcome visitors on weekdays and holidays. It is an opportunity to discover a less known but authentic side of the Bergamasca region, where the nativity tradition becomes a universal language.
The 2026 edition of the exhibition "Until the End" is held from March 29 to May 24, 2026, in the Annunciation Chapel, inside the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The exhibition features fourteen scenes dedicated to the life of Jesus, created by sculptors Martin Castells (Barcelona) and Raffaele De Angelis (Foggia).
