EtnaSonic Festival: Music and vineyards at the foot of Mount Etna

The EtnaSonic Festival is an event that blends music, food and wine, art, and nature into one long day on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna. The setting is the Tenuta Casella at Jabal Winery, located at Via Passopomo 103 in Zafferana Etnea, in the Metropolitan City of Catania, Sicily: a place where rows of vines open up to panoramic views of the volcano, taking music out of the clubs and into direct contact with the Etnean landscape.

A day that shifts with the light

The festival is built on a "long stay" concept, designed to combine a vineyard lunch, sunset, and nightlife into a single day. It begins at lunchtime with an intimate and convivial atmosphere, gradually shifting its rhythm as the light fades, eventually transforming the estate into an open-air dance floor. Alongside the musical program, the day features art exhibitions and interactive activities, making EtnaSonic a multidisciplinary event rather than just a concert.

The musical program

The music kicks off at lunch with a live performance by the Samuel Pietrasanta Trio, perfectly suited to the convivial table setting and the estate's atmosphere. From 3:30 PM, the sound shifts toward electronic sets, with Antonio La Bruna and Roberto Maritato in b2b with Mariagrazia Vinciguerra and Frea Gerbò Cacciola. In the evening, from 7:00 PM, the stage welcomes guest DJ Tommy Vee, followed by Gianluca Di Prima, Ubique, Lorena Grisafi, and Orazio Rocca, to keep the crowd dancing until midnight.

Wine and flavors of Mount Etna

True to the spirit of the winery that hosts it, EtnaSonic also highlights Etna wine and local flavors. Two options are available for lunch: a reserved table with service by contacting the organizers, or general access with the option to purchase pizzas and focaccias in the food area. The vineyard and the winery thus become not just a backdrop, but an integral part of the experience in a region famous for its volcanic wines and the winemaking traditions of Mount Etna's slopes.

Zafferana Etnea and the Etna region

A municipality on the eastern side of the volcano, Zafferana Etnea is one of the most renowned towns in the Etna area, appreciated for its honey, gastronomic events, and its panoramic position between Mount Etna and the sea. EtnaSonic fits into this context by offering a contemporary format that unites musical culture, art, and local products, bringing a new audience to the vineyards of the town.
