ESSERE – Process Festival

The debut of ESSERE – Process Festival enlivened Ruvo di Puglia for four days, from April 21 to 24, 2026, with a widespread program conceived by the Human Ensemble collective. Each day had its own theme: from the opening in urban spaces, to reflection and interdisciplinary performance, through to the original production at the Teatro Comunale and the closing at the Jatta National Museum. The festival involved artists, musicians, dancers, and local youth, with free admission to all events.

Tuesday, April 21 — Widespread Opening

The festival opens in the urban spaces of the historic center.

The widespread exhibition remains visible from April 21 to 28 in Largo Cattedrale and Piazza Menotti Garibaldi.

Wednesday, April 22 — Reflection and Performance

• Talk "Step by step between rhythm and breath", conducted by psychologist Carmen Maroccia (Cantico space)
• "Rituals", performance with contemporary music and dance at the former Dominican Convent, featuring performances of "I funerali dell'anarchico Serantini" by Francesco Filidei and "Ekā Mantra" and "Kunti Mantra" by Riccardo Nova
• Choreography by Matteo Stella Dance Arts
• Evening jam session at Karibu bar

Thursday, April 23 — Original Production

• World premiere of "La Follia Delle Folle" at the Teatro Comunale, music and dramaturgy by Giovanni Tamborrino, lighting design by Michelangelo Campanale
• House Selection DJ set with Gloria Grato

Friday, April 24 — Closing

• "The Flight of the Gods", audiovisual installation at the Jatta National Museum, blending artistic research and technological experimentation
• "In the Jungle", performance by the Human Ensemble collective in Piazza Dante
• Final collective musical event, open to the city

• The world premiere of "La Follia Delle Folle" at the Teatro Comunale, with music and dramaturgy by Giovanni Tamborrino and lighting by Michelangelo Campanale
• The audiovisual installation "The Flight of the Gods" in the spaces of the Jatta National Museum
• The closing performance "In the Jungle" by the Human Ensemble collective in Piazza Dante

How to get there

Ruvo di Puglia can be reached by car via the SS98 and A14 (Molfetta exit), and by train via the Bari–Barletta Ferrotramviaria line. The historic center, where the events are concentrated, is pedestrianized and easily walkable.
