Contemporary art exhibition and contest at Palazzo Giorgi Roffi Isabelli, in the Ciociaria region
In the heart of the Ciociaria, the Epiphyllum Prize transforms Palazzo Giorgi Roffi Isabelli in Ferentino (Frosinone province, Lazio) into an open-air creative laboratory for two days. Conceived and curated by Daniele Amelio, the event combines a collective exhibition with an artistic contest that fosters dialogue between different languages and generations, from emerging talents to established names.
The core of the event is the "Epiphyllum Prize - Exhibition & Artistic Contest," divided into nine sections: poetry and literature, music, photography, sculpture, cinema, video art and installation, fashion, painting, and illustration. Each discipline brings original works to Ferentino, selected and displayed in the palace's historic rooms.
The Epiphyllum Prize is designed as an immersive experience. Alongside the exhibition, there are live shows, yoga sessions, creative workshops such as sewing, poetry readings, and musical moments. There is no shortage of meetings with authors and directors: the film section "Spiccio Film Festival - Epiphyllum Prize Edition" brings cinema guests and dedicated screenings to Ferentino.
The choice of venue is no coincidence: Palazzo Giorgi Roffi Isabelli is one of the historic palaces of Ferentino, a city of ancient Ernican-Roman origins famous for its polygonal walls and Roman Theatre. Some contest events take place in the city's iconic landmarks, intertwining contemporary art with historic heritage.
As a traveling exhibition that has visited various municipalities in the Frosinone area over the years, the Epiphyllum Prize is now a benchmark for the artistic scene in southern Lazio. The Ferentino stop confirms the region's commitment to promoting local creativity and offering artists a space for visibility and exchange, in a festive atmosphere open to all.
For its thirteenth edition, the Epiphyllum Prize once again chooses Ferentino, with two days of widespread art at Palazzo Giorgi Roffi Isabelli. The exhibition curated by Daniele Amelio offers a collective display and a contest in nine categories, accompanied by shows, workshops, and moments of reflection. The "Spiccio Film Festival - Epiphyllum Prize Edition" film section and the events at the Roman Theatre complete a program designed to directly involve the public.
The program spans two days, with free admission.
