The competition for Veneto wines
EnoConegliano — Selezione Vini Veneti is the regional wine competition held in Conegliano, in the province of Treviso, the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and home to Italy's oldest enology school. Founded in 1998, it is organized by the EnoConegliano ETS Cultural Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture.
How the competition works
Only DOC, DOCG, and IGT wines and quality sparkling wines produced in Veneto are admitted to the competition. The samples, submitted in the preceding weeks, are evaluated by a tasting jury during two days of work. It is an event that attracts an increasing number of companies each year, confirming the prestige achieved by the event.
The awards
The evaluations award three main prizes — the Dama d'Oro, the Sigillo d'Argento, and the Sigillo di Bronzo — in addition to the Diploma of Merit for wines that score over 82/100. Three special awards crown excellence: the "Tullio de Rosa" for sparkling wines, the "Luigi Manzoni" for white wines, and the "Carlo Miconi" for companies with the highest scores.
EnoConegliano — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of EnoConegliano focuses on the days of July 9 and 10, dedicated to tasting and jury judgment. Samples of the wines in competition — DOC, DOCG, IGT, and quality sparkling wines produced in Veneto — must arrive between June 8 and July 1, 2026.
The jury awards the Dama d'Oro to the best wine in each category group, the Sigillo d'Argento, and the Sigillo di Bronzo, as well as the Diploma of Merit for wines scoring over 82/100. Three special awards are also planned: the "Tullio de Rosa" for sparkling wines, the "Luigi Manzoni" for white wines, and the "Carlo Miconi" for companies with the highest overall scores.
