The Endenna Carnival
In Endenna, the most populous hamlet of the municipality of Zogno, in the province of Bergamo, Carnival is a deeply felt celebration. The Endenna Carnival Parade sees the masked group of the district choose a theme each year, build their costumes, and parade through the village streets, in a cheerful atmosphere that involves children, teenagers, and adults.
A stop on the Zogno Carnival
The Endenna parade is part of the larger Zogno Carnival, organised by the Municipality of Zogno in collaboration with the Zogno Parish Hall, which brings together the various groups and floats from the hamlets of the mid-Brembana Valley in the square for a parade-competition. The Endenna group, the "Indiani Scatenati" (Unleashed Indians), is among the regular protagonists of this event.
Fritters and tradition
As tradition dictates, after the parade, the gathering is at the parish hall for the Carnival fritters, a convivial moment that concludes the day of celebration. "In Carnival, every joke counts… and every fritter is special": this is the spirit with which the community of Endenna experiences this simple and genuine event, typical of Bergamasco village carnivals.
Endenna Carnival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Endenna Carnival Parade was held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, with a gathering at 2:30 PM. The theme chosen by the group was "The Unleashed Indians": participants were invited to come dressed as Native Americans, with feathered headdresses, bows, arrows, and themed symbols.
At the end of the parade, the event continued at the parish hall for the traditional Carnival fritters. The following week, on Sunday, February 15th, the Endenna group took part in the parade-competition of the Zogno Carnival in Zogno, where the "Indiani Scatenati" placed third among the masked groups.

How to get there
Endenna is a hamlet of Zogno, in the Brembana Valley (Bergamo), separated from the centre only by the Brembo river. It can be reached by car from the SS470 of the Brembana Valley, about 18 km from Bergamo, and by public bus. The parade takes place along the streets of the hamlet.
Admission
Free event and open to all. Fritters are distributed in the parish hall at the end of the parade.
