There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
In the heart of Ariccia, an elegant town in the Castelli Romani area near Rome, the Enchanted Fairy Tale Park ignites the magic of lights during the Christmas season. The display is set up within the woods of Parco Chigi, the historic garden adjacent to Palazzo Chigi, one of the most famous Baroque complexes in Lazio. For the occasion, the park turns into a luminous path about a kilometer long, where thousands of artistic lights paint dreamlike scenes among the trees.
Along the path, visitors encounter light sculptures, gnomes, elves, and the settings of the most beloved fairy tales: from Alice's Wonderland to the worlds of Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood, and Aladdin, as well as glowing animals—giraffes, elephants, bears—and classic Christmas symbols like reindeer, sleighs, snowmen, and Santa Claus. There is no shortage of light choreographies and scenic installations that make the trail suitable for both children and adults.
In addition to the illuminations, the Enchanted Fairy Tale Park offers live shows, themed musicals, interactive mascots, and entertainment designed for the little ones. Dedicated areas offer cotton candy, popcorn, crepes, and other treats, for an experience that combines visual wonder with family fun.
Located just a few kilometers from Rome, Ariccia is famous for Palazzo Chigi, its monumental 19th-century bridge, and the culinary tradition of porchetta. The town, immersed in the Castelli Romani and overlooking Lake Albano, offers visitors of the Enchanted Fairy Tale Park a historical and scenic setting of great charm, ideal for a Christmas trip in Lazio.
The Enchanted Fairy Tale Park has become one of the most well-known Christmas events in the region, attracting thousands of visitors from Rome and beyond. However, dates, times, and display contents may vary from year to year depending on the organization: it is always advisable to check official information before planning your visit.
The 2025-2026 edition of the Enchanted Fairy Tale Park in Ariccia had been officially scheduled from November 29, 2025, to January 12, 2026. The setup was to occupy a portion of Parco Chigi, with pedestrian access from Largo Porta Napoletana, and had been entrusted via public notice to the company Il Parco delle favole incantate s.r.l.s. from Anzio, with no cost to the municipal budget.
A few days before the inauguration, however, the organization communicated the cancellation of the event through its social channels, citing family issues and thanking the thousands of people who had expressed interest. The organizers promised to return the following year with many surprises. The announcement, which arrived at the beginning of December 2025, caused disappointment among the public and some controversy at the local level.
