When electronics meet cinema
Elettrocinematica is a free outdoor party held at Parco Industria Alfa Romeo (Parco del Portello), in the Portello district of Municipality 8 in Milan, Lombardy. The event, organized by the collective Le Cannibale, focuses on the relationship between electronic music and cinema.
The concept
The common thread is the dialogue between sound and image: in particular, Francisco, a fundamental figure in Italian disco, dedicates part of his DJ set to mondo movies, genre documentaries, mixing funk, disco, and afrobeat. A proposal that intertwines musical and cinematographic culture in a danceable key.
The protagonists
The DJ sets of Francisco, Bruno Bolla, and Uabos will alternate on stage, from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM. The former industrial area of Alfa Romeo, now a public park, becomes the ideal setting for an outdoor evening that combines music, industrial archaeology, and urban greenery.
A free party
Admission is free with reservation, in the spirit of Le Cannibale's events, a reference point for Milan's electronic and daytime party scene. Elettrocinematica is one of the events that enliven the beginning of Milanese summer with outdoor music.
