Walk, Mass of the Emigrant, and lunch on Possagno's hill
In Possagno, a village in the province of Treviso at the foot of Monte Grappa and the Treviso Prealps, Easter Monday has always been linked to the Colle di San Rocco. Here, every Easter Monday, the Pro Loco of Possagno organizes a day of celebration that combines walking, devotion, and conviviality, in a landscape of woods overlooking the Venetian plain.
The morning begins with a walk of about five kilometers through the woods and trails of Possagno, followed by the Holy Mass of the Emigrant and the votive procession to the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a rite that commemorates the many locals who emigrated worldwide. At noon, the food and wine stand offers spit-roast chicken and typical Venetian dishes, while in the afternoon, musical entertainment is provided by the Junior Band and students from MusiCanova.
Pasquetta a San Rocco is one of those festivals that tell the soul of a village: simple, participatory, deeply rooted in the territory. For visitors, it's the perfect opportunity to discover Possagno, the birthplace of Antonio Canova, on a spring day filled with walks, flavors, and music.
The 20th edition of Easter Monday in San Rocco takes place on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026, on the Colle di San Rocco in Possagno. Organized by the Pro Loco of Possagno, the day combines a nature walk, a religious moment, a convivial lunch, and music.
Possagno can be reached by car from Bassano del Grappa or Castelfranco Veneto. The Colle di San Rocco is a short distance from the town center.
