The traditional Easter breakfast of the Lacrima village, in the heart of Morro d'Alba
In Morro d'Alba, a charming medieval village in the province of Ancona overlooking the Castelli di Jesi and world-famous for its Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC wine, Easter Monday has a unique flavor. It is here that the Pro Loco PROMORRO invites locals and visitors for the Easter Breakfast, a morning dedicated to conviviality and the gastronomic traditions of the Marche region.
Easter breakfast is one of the most deeply rooted customs in the peasant culture of the Marche: after days of fasting and reflection, families gather around a table laden with typical festive dishes. In Morro d'Alba, this tradition becomes a collective moment, where the village comes together to share the flavors that have accompanied the Marche spring for generations.
The absolute star is the local cuisine. The menu offered by the Pro Loco includes:
The breakfast takes place at the association's headquarters along the Camminamento di ronda La Scarpa, one of the most evocative attractions of the village: it is the only example in Italy of a covered walkway that runs along the entire city walls, flanked by arches on one side and ancient houses on the other. Having breakfast in this place means immersing yourself in the very history of Morro d'Alba.
The Easter Breakfast is one of the initiatives with which PROMORRO, the Pro Loco of Morro d'Alba affiliated with UNPLI, enlivens the village's calendar throughout the year, alongside more famous events such as Cantamaggio, Calici di Stelle, and the Lacrima and Truffle festival. A simple and authentic opportunity to experience Morro d'Alba, discover its historic center, and savor the hospitality of this corner of the Marche Region.
The 2026 Easter Breakfast was held on Monday, April 6, Easter Monday, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the association's headquarters along the Camminamento di ronda La Scarpa in Morro d'Alba. Pro Loco PROMORRO offered a rich typical Marche Easter menu accompanied by Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC wine, in a convivial atmosphere dedicated to the traditions of the territory.
Typical Easter menu: omelette with wild savory, lamb offal, cheese bread, cured meats and cheeses, Easter ring cake, and a glass of Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC.
