Competitive enduro in the woods of the Parma Apennines, in Bedonia
In the heart of the upper Parma Apennines, the E. Cordani Memorial brings competitive enduro through the woods and dirt roads of the Municipality of Bedonia, in the Province of Parma. The event officially opens the FMI Emilia-Romagna Enduro Regional Championship: it is the first of five rounds of the regional calendar, an event that draws riders from all over the region to a technical and selective terrain, made up of mule tracks, fords, and undergrowth typical of the Val Taro.
The name of the Memorial comes from the historic Motocavalcata Memorial Emanuele Cordani, the non-competitive event with which the Moto Club Taro Taro Taro took its first steps in organizing motorsport events in the area. That rally, considered one of the most classic in all of Northern Italy, wound through long routes of true enduro across the Taro and Ceno valleys. Today, that title is transferred to the competitive race, carrying with it the memory and value of a tradition that has made the history of the Bedonia club.
The race takes place over two special stages, repeated three times each, including the Cross test set up on the meadow at Ponteceno di Bedonia. The tracks cross the woods and dirt roads of the Apennines, alternating climbs, technical sections, and natural passages that require clean riding and physical stamina. It is a format that combines technique, endurance, and spectacle, in one of the most evocative landscapes of the Emilian hinterland.
The E. Cordani Memorial is the inaugural round of a circuit that touches various locations in Emilia-Romagna throughout the season, from Bedonia to the Piacenza and Modena Apennines. For Bedonia and the Val Taro, it is also an opportunity for tourist and sporting appeal, with the paddock, reception, and local businesses involved in welcoming riders, teams, and enthusiasts.
In addition to the race, the event is an invitation to discover the upper Val Taro, a corner of Emilia-Romagna made up of Apennine ridges, dense chestnut and beech woods, and small villages. Bedonia, with its hamlet of Ponteceno, offers the ideal setting for a day of outdoor sports away from the most crowded destinations.
The 2026 edition marked the debut of the E. Cordani Memorial title in the competitive round of the FMI Emilia-Romagna Enduro Regional Championship. The race, hosted in Bedonia with special stages in the hamlet of Ponteceno, was the first of the five rounds of the 2026 regional calendar.
Riders competed on two special stages, repeated three times each, including the Cross test set up on the Ponteceno meadow. The tracks crossed woods, dirt roads, and mule tracks of the Parma Apennines, in a day of sport that confirmed the territory's enduro vocation.
