Dining Under the Stars is the event that officially opens the summer season in Morsasco, a village of just over seven hundred inhabitants nestled on the hills of the Upper Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont). Organized by Pro Morsasco Eventi, it is the first of the major events that enliven the town during the summer: a simple and festive open-air dinner, designed to bring everyone together at the table in the streets and spaces of the historic center, under the clear sky of the Ovada Monferrato.

More than a festival dedicated to a single product, Dining Under the Stars is a convivial community dinner: a moment when the village fills with long tables, chatter, and the aromas of home cooking. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the hospitality of a small Piedmontese town and to savor the relaxed atmosphere of summer evenings on the hills, far from the crowds of large events.

Morsasco and its castle

The dinner takes place in the heart of Morsasco, dominated by the imposing castle of medieval origin (first mentioned in the 13th century) that characterizes the village's skyline. The town is part of the Ovada Monferrato, a land of vineyards and food and wine traditions, a short distance from Ovada and Acqui Terme. The panoramic position and the historical context make the evening particularly evocative.

A rich summer calendar

Dining Under the Stars inaugurates a summer full of initiatives curated by Pro Morsasco Eventi: in the following weeks, the town hosts a footrace through the streets of the village and the surrounding countryside and, in August, the celebrations in honor of Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of Morsasco. Participating in the opening dinner therefore means getting into the heart of a season of festivals deeply rooted in the life of the village.
