The Dawn Concert - Film Scores by Ennio Morricone is a summer highlight held on the hills of Corvara, a small town in the province of Pescara, in the heart of Abruzzo. At the first light of day, when the sun rises over the ancient olive groves and mountain peaks, the landscape transforms into a natural open-air theater. In the distance, you can even catch a glimpse of the Adriatic Sea: a setting that makes every note even more evocative.

The Maestro's music

At the heart of the event is a tribute to Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest film score composers in the world. An ensemble of ten musicians—strings, trumpet, accordion, harp, vocals, and percussion—accompanies the sunrise with the Maestro's most famous themes, creating a direct dialogue between music and the surrounding nature. Listening at dawn, in silence amidst the Abruzzo hills, offers an intimate and contemplative atmosphere, quite different from a traditional concert.

The experience doesn't end with the music. After the performance, the audience is invited to a hearty rustic breakfast prepared with local specialties, included in the ticket price. The morning also features a market of local producers and artisans, a chance to discover the food, wine, and craft excellence of the Pescara hinterland. Launched in 2024 with a first edition that sold out quickly, the Dawn Concert is organized by the Say Ciao association in collaboration with the Municipality of Corvara and the support of local entities. In just a few years, it has become one of the most original musical events of the Abruzzo summer, attracting an attentive and passionate audience willing to rise before dawn to experience an unrepeatable moment.
