The pianist and producer from the Marche region meets the Filarmonica Marchigiana Orchestra at the Ventidio Basso Theatre
The Ventidio Basso Theatre in Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region, hosts one of the most anticipated events of the season: the concert Dardust and the FORM, which brings together on stage the pianist, composer, and producer Dardust (born Dario Faini, originally from Ascoli Piceno) and the FORM - Filarmonica Marchigiana Orchestra, conducted by maestro Davide Trolton. This is a true "meeting of talents made in Marche," which sees one of the most sought-after authors and producers of Italian music return to perform in his home region.
The heart of the evening is Dardust's Piano Concerto No. 1, a three-movement work (andante, adagio, allegro con fuoco) that brings the artist's personal style into the form of a piano and orchestra concerto, suspended between neoclassical piano, electronics, and pop melody. Framing this contemporary piece are two cornerstones of the Mozart repertoire: the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and the famous Symphony No. 40 in G minor. It is precisely this dialogue between Dardust's language and the great symphonic tradition that makes the program particularly fascinating for the audience.
Dardust is one of the most influential names in the Italian music scene: a producer and author behind numerous national pop hits and a recurring presence at the Sanremo Festival, he has simultaneously built a career as a pianist and composer with his own recognizable identity. Regarding his relationship with the orchestra, the artist stated: "I was very struck by the level of the orchestra with which I immediately found a connection."
The setting for the concert is the Ventidio Basso Theatre, the historic Italian-style theatre in Ascoli Piceno, located at Via del Teatro 4. It is a reference venue for the musical and operatic life of the city and the Province of Ascoli Piceno. The concert is part of the activities of the FORM, the reference symphony orchestra of the Marche Region, and is held in collaboration with AMAT (Marche Association for Theatrical Activities). The Ascoli date is part of a short regional tour that also includes Ancona, Pesaro, and Fermo.
