The summer beer festival in the Pistoia Apennines
Cutigliano Beer Fest! is one of the most anticipated summer events in Cutigliano, an ancient village in the Pistoia Apennines that is part of the municipality of Abetone Cutigliano, in the province of Pistoia (Tuscany). It is a genuine, village-style beer festival designed to fill summer evenings with music, joy, and conviviality, when the mountain town fills with tourists and vacationers looking for cool air and fun.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco Cutigliano, the association that has been enlivening the village's summer calendar for years with food festivals, parties, and family activities. The beer festival is part of a dense program of events that, between June, July, and August, transforms Cutigliano into one of the liveliest hubs of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, featuring markets, shows, and popular traditions.
The format is the tried-and-tested village festival style: it starts in the late afternoon and continues until late at night with draft beer, food stalls, and street food — sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and specialties to enjoy outdoors. The soundtrack for the evening is provided by live music, with bands and DJs keeping the party going until late. There is no shortage of the playful, lighthearted moments typical of Cutigliano festivals, such as tournaments and games that involve the public of all ages.
Cutigliano is one of the most characteristic villages of the Pistoia Mountains: close to Abetone and its ski slopes, it becomes a popular destination in summer for trekking, cool temperatures, and local traditions. Attending Cutigliano Beer Fest is also an opportunity to discover this corner of Tuscany off the beaten tourist path, among forests, trails, and the typical hospitality of mountain towns.
For the summer of 2026, the Cutigliano beer festival doubles up: the event is set for Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the center of the village. The organization by the Pro Loco Cutigliano is confirmed, offering two evenings of draft beer, food stalls, and live music in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition — including times, bands, DJs, and entertainment — has not yet been published: it will be released by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event. We recommend checking the official Pro Loco Cutigliano channels for updates.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Pro Loco Cutigliano in the weeks leading up to the event. Cutigliano is located in the Pistoia Apennines, along the road that climbs from Pistoia towards Abetone. By car, it can be reached via the SS12 Abetone-Brennero state road. The reference train station is Pistoia, from where you can continue by bus or car towards the mountains.
Admission to the festival is free; you pay for what you consume at the beer and street food stalls. For the updated program and hours, we recommend checking the Pro Loco Cutigliano channels.
Even in summer, mountain evenings can be cool: bring a sweatshirt or a light jacket with you.
