Inclusive outdoor theatre for children and families in Val di Non
Cura il Futuro is a travelling dance-theatre festival launched in 2021 by the Collettivo Clochart, a Trentino-based artistic collective led by artistic director Michele Comite. Inclusive and wide-reaching, the festival tours various municipalities across Trentino, staging live performances in both conventional and unconventional spaces between May and December. In Romeno, a small town in the Val di Non (Trentino-Alto Adige), the festival finds its home in the parks and green areas of its hamlets, transforming them into open-air stages.
The heart of Cura il Futuro is dedicated to children and their families, as well as educators and those who work in childcare. The very name of the festival reflects a commitment to cultivating the next generation: caring for the future means offering children moments of wonder, listening, and growth through the language of theatre and dance. Each performance is designed to be accessible and participatory, featuring moments of interaction before or after the show, in collaboration with local associations.
Evenings in Romeno take place outdoors, typically at 8:30 PM, in the parks of the town and its hamlets, such as Malgolo and Salter. Reinterpretations of great classics and popular fairy tales—from Tom Sawyer to Puss in Boots, from Sleeping Beauty to fun, comedic reinventions—take the audience on a journey of imagination suitable for all ages. In case of bad weather, performances are held indoors at the Romeno primary school.
Cura il Futuro was born from the belief that art can break down barriers and build community. The Collettivo Clochart, led by Michele Comite and Hillary Anghileri, has spent years developing social and inclusive theatre, transforming public spaces into meeting places. In Romeno, the festival has become a highly anticipated summer tradition, bringing different generations together around the magic of live theatre in the serene, green setting of the Val di Non.
Two evening events will animate the 2026 summer season of the Cura il Futuro festival in Romeno, Val di Non. Outdoor performances designed for children and their families.
