Edition 2025 — Cucina Povera

The 34th edition of the Cucina Povera Festival took place on August 2-3, 2025, with the historic center of Castellina Marittima transformed into a large open-air kitchen and over twenty tasting stations managed by restaurants, farms, and associations. The event was preceded by themed evenings at local restaurants in July and a conference with a tasting dinner at Castello del Terriccio dedicated to the tomato.

The 34th edition of the Cucina Povera Festival, held on August 2 and 3, 2025, confirmed the success of the Castellina event. The streets of the historic center hosted over twenty tasting stations with traditional peasant dishes, inspired by the recipes and legends collected in the local gastronomic heritage.

The calendar included themed preview evenings at the restaurants Il Poggetto, Il Malandrone, Papacqua, Il Merendacolo, and Terraforte (July) and a conference with a tasting dinner at Castello del Terriccio on the theme "The red gold, from production to processing," dedicated to the tomato, with the participation of chefs, experts, and representatives of Slow Food and the University of Pisa.
