About Vittorio Veneto–Cansiglio

The Cronoscalata Vittorio Veneto–Cansiglio is one of the oldest uphill car races in Italy, founded in 1924 and with over a century of history. The competition climbs along Provincial Road 422 between Vittorio Veneto and the Cansiglio plateau, on a selective course of curves and hairpin bends. Valid for the Italian Mountain Speed Championship (CIVM Nord) and organized by the Automobile Club Treviso, it attracts drivers and enthusiasts from all over Italy for a weekend of motorsport in the Marca Trevigiana.

One of the oldest hill climbs in Italy

The Cronoscalata Vittorio Veneto–Cansiglio is an uphill car race with a great tradition, whose origins date back to 1924: with over a hundred years of history, it is among the longest-running motorsport events in the national scene. The race takes place near Vittorio Veneto, in the province of Treviso, climbing towards the Cansiglio plateau.

The track

The course runs along Provincial Road 422 for about 5,930 meters, with an elevation gain of 450 meters and an average gradient of 7.65%. A course described as "insidious and selective", which tests drivers through curves and hairpin bends, from the start in Mezzavilla to the finish in Valsalega, in the municipality of Fregona.

Italian Mountain Speed Championship

The hill climb is valid for the Italian Mountain Speed Championship (CIVM) Nord and is organized by the Automobile Club Treviso according to ACI Sport regulations. After the stop in 2025, caused by a landslide on SP422, the race returns with an edition dubbed "the hill climb of redemption", confirming the strong bond between this competition and the Marca Trevigiana territory.

Vittorio Veneto–Cansiglio — edition 2026

The 43rd edition of the Cronoscalata Vittorio Veneto–Cansiglio is scheduled from July 31 to August 2, 2026, with the final race on Sunday, August 2. Dubbed "the hill climb of redemption", it marks the return of the race after the 2025 cancellation due to a landslide on the SP422. Valid for the CIVM Nord.

The 2026 edition, the 43rd in the series, brings back the historic hill climb after the 2025 cancellation due to a landslide on Provincial Road 422. The race weekend, from July 31 to August 2, is dedicated to technical checks, practice runs, and the actual competition, which concludes on Sunday, August 2. The 5,930-meter track between Mezzavilla and Valsalega, with a 450-meter elevation gain and an average gradient of 7.65%, is valid for the Northern Italian Mountain Speed Championship.
