Dance takes centre stage in Cremona

CremonaDanza is the festival that every summer dedicates the stage of the Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli to the dance schools of the Cremona area, in Lombardy. Promoted by the Fondazione Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Lombardy Region, the Cariplo Foundation, and the Municipality of Cremona, it is an event that has accompanied the growth of young Cremonese dancers for almost thirty years.

A stage for young people

The festival offers dance school students a rare opportunity: to perform on one of the city's most prestigious historic stages. Participating schools take turns over several evenings, each presenting the performances prepared during the year. It is a moment eagerly awaited by teachers, students, and families, which sees the Ponchielli filled with an audience for a grand occasion.

The programme ranges across different choreographic forms: from classical dance to contemporary, from modern to the most innovative performance disciplines. This variety makes each evening different and allows the public to discover the richness of the area's educational offerings, enhancing the work of the schools and the passion of the young performers.
