Cortili Fioriti e…, the spring of Carpeneto

In the heart of the Ovadese, on the edge of the Monferrato, the Municipality of Carpeneto (Province of Alessandria, Piedmont) hosts "Cortili Fioriti e…" every spring, one of the most beloved events in the area. For an entire Sunday, the streets and courtyards of the historic village center are adorned with flowers, becoming the backdrop for an event dedicated to the beauty of the season, vibrant colors, and conviviality.

A village to discover on foot

The initiative was born to showcase the architectural and human heritage of Carpeneto: private courtyards and the most charming corners of the town are opened and decorated, offering residents and visitors the chance to discover hidden gems among wisteria, roses, and floral arrangements. The village comes alive like a large open-air living room, defined by Monferrato traditions and warm hospitality.

Flowers, wine, and local flavors

The route is lined with artisan and nursery stalls, featuring local growers, florists, and craftspeople. A major highlight is the food and wine section: local wine producers offer tastings of Monferrato wines, while numerous street food stands and refreshment points enliven the day. The experience perfectly blends the scent of flowers, the taste of local wine, and the region's artistry.

Music, children, and community moments

The program alternates between music and entertainment for all ages. The Filarmonica Margherita band accompanies the public through the village streets, while the afternoon focuses on the little ones, with performances by primary and preschool children, as well as entertainment and bouncy castles for families. Over the years, the festival has also hosted dance performances, magic shows, street art, and awareness campaigns promoted by local associations.

A local event

"Cortili Fioriti e…" is organized by the Municipality of Carpeneto in collaboration with local associations, reaching its seventh edition in 2026. The event is a well-established attraction for the Ovadese area and for lovers of historic villages, flowers, and typical Piedmontese products. Admission is free.
