Art in the courtyards
Corteggiando is the cultural and artistic festival of Albairate, a town in western Milan immersed in the Ticino Park, in the province of Milan. The idea behind it is simple and fascinating: to open the historic courtyards of the village and transform them into open-air stages, where art meets rural Lombard architecture.
A day of performances
The courtyards in the center — especially Corte Salcano, the main venue for evening events — host musicians, artists, painters, and theatre companies. Live performances, exhibitions, and moments of shared creativity follow one another, while theatre presents shows such as those of Commedia dell'Arte. For the little ones, there are workshops, literary scavenger hunts, and historical photographic exhibitions.
A village that tells its story
Part of the "Tra Navigli e Ticino" circuit and the "Percorsi di autenticità" program, Corteggiando is organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Albairate. More than an event, it is a way to tell the identity of the village through art, enhancing the courtyards, history, and community of an authentic corner of Milan, at the gates of the Ticino Park. Admission is free.
Corteggiando — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the nineteenth, is expected at the end of May, following the pattern of previous editions (the 18th was held on May 31, 2025). The definitive date and program will be published by the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Albairate.
As tradition dictates, the courtyards in the center will host live performances, exhibitions, theatre, and workshops for children.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organizers. Based on the established structure of the event, the following are expected:
- Courtyards in the center (especially Corte Salcano) transformed into open-air stages
- Live performances by musicians, artists, and painters; exhibitions
- Evening theatre performances
- Workshops and literary scavenger hunts for children, historical photographic exhibitions
