About Corri Ginosa

Corri Ginosa is the road running race that brings the streets of central Ginosa, in the province of Taranto, to life every autumn. Organized by A.S.D. Runners Ginosa, it features an 8-kilometre urban circuit covered in two 4 km laps, starting and finishing in Piazza Marconi. As a stage of the Gran Prix di corsa in Terra Jonica, it attracts hundreds of athletes and enthusiasts from across Puglia every year for a true celebration of sport and community.

A race in the heart of Ginosa

Corri Ginosa is the road running event that, for several editions now, has transformed the streets of central Ginosa, in the province of Taranto, into a race course open to both registered athletes and amateurs. Organized by A.S.D. Runners Ginosa with the patronage of the Municipality of Ginosa and the Puglia Region, and approved by FIDAL Puglia and FIDAL Taranto, it has become a staple of the Apulian running calendar.

The course

The race takes place on an urban circuit of approximately 4 kilometres to be completed twice, for a total of about 8 km, winding through the streets of Ginosa's town centre. The start and finish line are located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, near Piazza Marconi, the town's beating heart. The route passes through narrow alleys and scenic spots, offering athletes a charming urban setting and spectators the chance to watch the runners up close.

Sport and community

More than just a competition, Corri Ginosa is a celebration of sport and community: every year it draws hundreds of athletes and fans from all over Puglia, supported by the work of numerous volunteer and civil protection associations that secure the route. The event is a valid stage of the Gran Prix di corsa in Terra Jonica, the circuit that brings together the main running races in the Ionian territory.

Ginosa and the Ionian territory

Ginosa, a town in the province of Taranto overlooking the Ionian arc and famous for its ravine and rock-hewn historic centre, provides the backdrop for a race that combines a passion for running with the rediscovery of the town. The event is open to FIDAL-registered athletes in the Senior and Allievi-Juniores-Promesse categories, as well as Runcard holders with valid membership.

How to participate

Registration is done online via the timing portal. For information, you can contact A.S.D. Runners Ginosa directly. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the race is traditionally held in October.
