On the day of Corpus Domini, the historic center of Nocera Umbra, in the province of Perugia, transforms into a path of colors and scents. The Flower Festival is a centuries-old tradition that consists of creating carpets and pictures of flowers artistically arranged along the streets that the procession of the Blessed Sacrament crosses, with Piazza Umberto I as the focal point of the event.

The work of an entire community

As in other flower festivals in Umbria, the event stems from the choral work of the inhabitants: children, young people, adults, and the elderly collaborate side by side to create designs that last only a few hours—the time of the procession's passage—but which leave a deep mark. It is a simple gesture, made with the heart, that speaks of faith, collaboration, and the desire to be together, and which renews the identity of the Nocera community every year.
