Jazz and its fusions beneath the Temple of Hercules in Cori
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Cori Jazz Festival is the summer event that brings live music to the most scenic spot in this Lepini village: the Piazza del Tempio di Ercole, dominated by the famous Roman temple on the acropolis of Cori, in the province of Latina. Here, among the columns of a monument that has accompanied the festival since its very first edition, evening concerts engage in a dialogue with the ancient stone, creating the intimate and cozy atmosphere typical of great small-town festivals.
Under the artistic direction of Sami Nanni, the Cori Jazz Festival was born with the idea of promoting collaboration between local musical entities and visiting artists, creating networks and providing space for different expressive styles close to the world of jazz in its many forms: from classic standards to singer-songwriter music, and from folk and electronic fusions to performances that combine music and dance. The event is promoted by the Art'Incantiere and Il Ristoro di Ercole associations, with the patronage of the Municipality of Cori and the Compagnia dei Lepini.
Perched on the Lepini Mountains, the town of Cori is one of the most fascinating villages in southern Lazio, with its millennial stratification ranging from pre-Roman polygonal walls to medieval alleyways. The Temple of Hercules, dating back to the 1st century BC, is the symbol of the upper town and offers the festival a scenic backdrop that few Italian events can boast. Attending a concert in this place means experiencing music while rediscovering the historical and cultural identity of a territory often far from the major tourist circuits.
The evenings of the Cori Jazz Festival are not just concerts: the musical selection preceding the live sets, the presence of local artistic entities, and collaborations with urban art and illustration projects make every appointment a well-rounded cultural event. It is a festival that focuses on the quality of listening and the promotion of new talent, in an informal atmosphere that invites the public to linger, discover emerging artists, and enjoy the evening coolness of the acropolis.
With its summer editions, the Cori Jazz Festival has carved out a recognizable space in the musical landscape of the province of Latina. Those who love jazz and its fusions will find a curated and passionate program here; those looking for a different experience will discover one of the most beautiful villages in Lazio in its most evocative guise, when music lights up the August nights beneath the Temple of Hercules.
Following the editions of previous years, the Cori Jazz Festival is also expected in the summer of 2026 in the setting of the Piazza del Tempio di Ercole, on the acropolis of Cori. The artistic direction remains entrusted to Sami Nanni and the organization to the Art'Incantiere and Il Ristoro di Ercole associations. The exact dates and program have not yet been announced.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition has not yet been released by the organizers. As in previous editions, the festival is expected to return in August with evening concerts in Piazza del Tempio di Ercole. The official dates and line-up will be announced on the event's social media channels (Instagram @cori_jazz_festival).
