About Coppa Italia Speed

The Coppa Italia Speed makes a stop in Brugherio, at the Big Walls gym, for the first event of the national speed climbing circuit. Young athletes from the U15 and U17 categories compete on the timed wall, in an evening of adrenaline-fueled races between semifinals and finals, also broadcast live streaming. An event that brings one of the most spectacular climbing disciplines to Brianza, where the race against time counts.

Speed climbing arrives in Brugherio

The Coppa Italia Speed is the national circuit dedicated to speed climbing, the most spectacular specialty in sport climbing: two athletes race side-by-side on a timed wall, in a race against time decided by fractions of a second. The first stage of the season takes place in Brugherio, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, at the Big Walls gym.

Young protagonists

The Brianza stage is reserved for athletes in the U15 and U17 youth categories, among the emerging talents of Italian climbing. The format includes semifinals and finals on the same evening, in a crescendo of tension that culminates in direct challenges for the podium.

An evening live

The most spectacular phases of the competition are broadcast live streaming on Climbing TV, the channel of the Sportface TV platform, allowing races to be followed remotely. This signals the growing attention towards this discipline, which recently entered the Olympic program.

Brianza, capital of Speed

Hosting the first stage of the Coppa Italia Speed confirms the role of the Big Walls gym and Brugherio in the national sport climbing scene. The event, organized by the FASI – Italian Sport Climbing Federation, brings a young, dynamic, and rapidly growing sport to the city.
