Three days of music, sports, culture, and street food in memory of Leo
ComBas Live is one of the most cherished events of the summer in Abbadia San Salvatore, a town on Mount Amiata in the province of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany. The event takes place every year in Piazza Fratelli Cervi and was born in memory of Leonardo Lorenzoni, known as Leo, a young local man who passed away prematurely in a road accident on June 6, 2022. Since then, Leo's family and friends, gathered in the L'Horto di Leo association, have sought to transform their grief into something living and shared, creating a festival that celebrates his passions: music, sports, nature, and togetherness.
ComBas Live is a multidisciplinary festival that enlivens the square for three consecutive evenings. The program alternates between live concerts, tribute bands dedicated to major Italian and international music icons, late-night DJ sets, acoustic moments, and spaces dedicated to children. Over the years, the stage has hosted tributes to icons such as Michael Jackson, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Jovanotti, and Max Pezzali, as well as bands and duos from the Amiata area.
Alongside the concerts, ComBas Live offers a rich array of initiatives designed to involve the entire community:
Every evening, the square transforms into a large convivial space thanks to street food and aperitifs, with food stalls offering local specialties. The free admission policy makes ComBas Live a truly popular festival, capable of attracting residents, vacationers, and visitors from all over the Amiata region.
Now in its early editions, ComBas Live has already become a benchmark for the summer calendar of Abbadia San Salvatore, an integral part of the municipality's event schedule. More than just a simple music festival, it is a way to keep Leo's memory alive and to strengthen the bonds of a community that gathers every June around music and solidarity.
The 2026 edition of ComBas Live was held from Thursday, June 11 to Saturday, June 13, in Piazza Fratelli Cervi, confirming the proven formula of three evenings dedicated to music, sports, culture, and street food. The event, with free admission, was organized by the L'Horto di Leo association with the patronage of the Municipality of Abbadia San Salvatore, in memory of Leonardo Lorenzoni.
The event was preceded by the AperiCombass on June 5, an opening and program presentation appointment. As per tradition, the program alternated between live concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, sports tournaments, and charity moments in the heart of the Amiata town.
The fourth edition was spread over three evenings (June 11-13, 2026) in Piazza Fratelli Cervi, preceded by the AperiCombass on June 5. The detailed program of concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, tournaments, and sports activities follows the consolidated formula of previous editions; the complete artistic line-up is not published on the official sources consulted.
