Urban art, street art, and music festival in the historic center of Bisenti
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Coloriamoci Sopra! is an urban art and street art event that transforms the historic center of Bisentiโa village of just over 1,500 residents in the Teramo province, nestled in the heart of the Val Fino valley in Abruzzoโevery summer. Conceived in 2011 by the Quasi Adatti Cultural Association, the festival was born with a simple yet ambitious goal: to restore color, beauty, and vitality to the village's alleys and facades, countering the depopulation of small inland Abruzzo towns through the power of contemporary art.
The heart of the event is the creation of murals and street art pieces that, edition after edition, have turned the streets of the historic center into a true open-air museum. In recent years, the festival has integrated with the Ratike urban regeneration project, which invites Italian and international artists to create figures and "new metaphorical citizens" inspired by the local culture, history, traditions, nature, and gastronomy. Among the most significant works is the mural dedicated to the Warrior of Capestrano, an icon of Abruzzo identity dating back to the 6th century BC.
Coloriamoci Sopra! is a collective and participatory celebration. Alongside live painting, the program offers a rich variety of activities for all ages:
True to its roots, the festival remains self-funded, independent, and completely free to attend. It is the energy of the volunteers from the Quasi Adatti Association, supported by the Municipality of Bisenti and the local community, that makes every edition possible. For those visiting inland Abruzzo, Coloriamoci Sopra! is the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic village and experience urban art in an intimate and welcoming setting.
The 2026 edition of Coloriamoci Sopra! has not yet been officially confirmed. Based on previous editions, the event is usually held in June in the historic center of Bisenti, in the province of Teramo. The program, dates, and artists will be announced by the Quasi Adatti Cultural Association in the weeks leading up to the event.
Bisenti is located in the inland Teramo area of Abruzzo. By car: from the A24 or A14 motorways, take the exit for Val Fino and continue along the provincial roads. The nearest train stations are in Pescara or Chieti, from where you can continue by car or local bus services.
Admission to the festival is free. Events take place in the village's historic center, generally starting from late afternoon until late evening.
For the updated program, we recommend checking the channels of the Quasi Adatti Cultural Association and the website of the Municipality of Bisenti.
