Rimini Carnival in Piazza Cavour with international street artists
ColorCoriandolo is the central event of the Rimini Carnival, promoted by the Municipality of Rimini in the heart of the historic center. Now in its twenty-fourth edition, it transforms Piazza Cavour and the surrounding streets into a large international stage, dedicated to families and visitors of all ages. Admission is completely free and the shows liven up the square in the afternoon, starting from 3:00 PM.
What makes ColorCoriandolo unique is the presence of international street artists, from Italy, Argentina, Chile, and France. Among itinerant parades, acrobats, jugglers, stilt walkers, clowns, giant puppets, and face painters, the square fills with wonder and amazement. The performances range from pole acrobatics to spectacular giant soap bubble storms, in a succession of acts designed to engage both young and old.
Throughout the Carnival period, the charming French carousel returns to Piazza Cavour, with its magical wheel of lights, wooden horses, and vintage carriages, enchanting the little ones. The Rimini Carnival is also a widespread event, extending from the historic center to the sea with entertainment, masked parades, and initiatives for schools.
Although relatively recent, ColorCoriandolo is now deeply rooted in the tradition of Rimini, the capital of the homonymous province in Emilia-Romagna. It has become an occasion for collective meeting and participation that, every year, fills Piazza Cavour in every corner, confirming itself as one of the most beloved events of the city's winter calendar.
The 2026 edition of ColorCoriandolo took place on Sunday, February 15, and Tuesday, February 17, in Piazza Cavour in Rimini, with free admission. Sunday featured an itinerant parade led by a marching band, followed by pole acrobatics and the Argentine giant bubble show. Fat Tuesday, dedicated to the public, offered music and baby dance with Radio Bruno, appearances by a French clown, and the performance "21 Rulli e S-Ballo," which combines contemporary dance and percussion using recycled materials. Grand finale with a spectacular soap bubble storm. Throughout the period, the French carousel enchanted the square.
