Colledara Porchetta Festival

The 23rd edition

The 23rd Colledara Porchetta Festival was held on August 30 and 31, 2025, in Piazza dell'Aviatore, behind the town hall, organized by the Maestri della Porchetta di Colledara association with the support of the BIM Consortium, the GAL Gran Sasso Laga, and the municipal administration.

The absolute star was the local porchetta, prepared by the master porchetta-makers according to the traditional 1860 recipe and roasted in ancient ovens. The food stalls, open from 6:00 PM, offered the specialty alongside other typical products from the Teramo area, accompanied by musical performances featuring local and traveling folk groups. On August 30, a commemorative plaque was also presented in memory of Giampaolo Mercurii, the historic president of the association who passed away in April 2025.
