Christmas in the 'Little Venice'
'Christmas Magic' is the grand Christmas program of Chioggia, in the Metropolitan City of Venice, coordinated by the Fondazione DMO Chioggia Tourism. For about a month, the historic center comes alive with markets, lights, and activities for all ages.
Market, Village, and Ice Rink
The typical wooden chalets of Christmas markets are spread between Piazza Duomo and Corso del Popolo, offering artisan products and traditional Venetian Christmas sweets. In Piazza Duomo, the Christmas Village and Santa Claus's House come to life, while in Piazzale Europa, the ice skating rink returns, now a landmark of Chioggia's winter.
Shows, Workshops, and Lights
The program includes musical performances, children's workshops, and captivating light projections (video mapping) on the city's historic buildings. The festive calendar culminates with New Year's Eve celebrations, with music and fireworks to welcome the new year.
Christmas Magic — edition 2026
The Christmas program 'Christmas Magic' returns to Chioggia for the 2026 holidays, traditionally from December 6th to Epiphany. The calendar, coordinated by the Fondazione DMO Chioggia Tourism, includes the market with wooden chalets between Piazza Duomo and Corso del Popolo, the Christmas Village, Santa's House, and the ice rink in Piazzale Europa.
There will be musical performances, children's workshops, and light projections on historic buildings, culminating in New Year's Eve celebrations. Specific dates and detailed program will be published by the organizers in the autumn months.

How to get there
Chioggia is reachable by car from the SS309 Romea, from the A4 (Padova Est exit) or the A13. By train to Rovigo or Venice, then by bus. The market is located between Piazza Duomo and Corso del Popolo; the ice rink is in Piazzale Europa.
Admission
Free entry to the market. The ice rink has an admission fee.
