Christmas Markets of Venice - Campo Santo Stefano and Campo San Polo

The Venice Christmas Markets 2026 will liven up the historic center during Advent. At Campo Santo Stefano, the wooden chalet village will offer crafts, Murano glass, and typical sweets; Campo San Polo will combine the market with an ice-skating rink. Illuminations will be switched on from November 21st on Strada Nuova, Piazza San Marco, and in the districts, while the Grand Canal will host the aquatic parade of Santa Claus.

Christmas Markets 2026 — Venice Historic Center

• Campo Santo Stefano — village with about 30 wooden chalets: local crafts, Murano glass, lace, masks, decorations, and typical sweets (free entry)
• Campo San Polo — market with Venetian products and ice-skating rink, shows, and entertainment
• From November 21st — lighting of the illuminations on Strada Nuova, Piazza San Marco, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Marco, and Castello
• Lighting of the Christmas trees in the city's symbolic locations
• December Sundays — aquatic parade of Santa Claus along the Grand Canal to Rialto

The precise dates for the market openings, tree lightings, and aquatic parade will be published by the Municipality of Venice.

How to get there

By train to Venezia Santa Lucia, then on foot or by ACTV water bus. Campo Santo Stefano is near the Accademia and Sant'Angelo; Campo San Polo can be reached from the San Silvestro or San Tomà stops.

Good to know

Entry to the markets is free. The Campo San Polo ice-skating rink has a fee (low cost). The illuminations are switched on at the end of November. For dates of trees, parades, and events, it's advisable to consult the Venice Municipality's channels.
