Chocolate goes up the mountain

Every summer, in the heart of Santa Caterina Valfurva — a renowned resort in Alta Valtellina, in the province of Sondrio — comes Chocomoments, the artisan chocolate festival. For four days around Ferragosto, the town centre fills with fragrant stands where master chocolatiers present and sell chocolate in all its forms and qualities.

Workshops, cooking shows, and courses

Chocomoments is not just an exhibition market: it's an immersive experience. The little ones can participate in the Choco Baby workshops, learning to make chocolates, while adults can sign up for chocolate processing courses. Every day, cooking shows demonstrate live the preparation of Sacher cakes, typical pralines, and spectacular creations, including record-breaking chocolate bars.

The event is part of Santa Caterina's rich summer calendar, which during Ferragosto offers numerous initiatives involving sport, tradition, and entertainment.
