Children's Carnival in Strevi

In the heart of the carnival season, the village of Strevi—a small town in the province of Alessandria tucked away in the hills of the Acqui and Monferrato regions—dedicates an entire afternoon to children with the Children's Carnival. The event takes place in Piazza Scovazzi, in the heart of the lower village, transforming the town square into a cheerful masquerade party for local families.

A party organized by the new Pro Loco

The event is promoted by the Nuova Pro Loco Strevi, the association that has recently revitalized the town's social life with great enthusiasm and chose the Children's Carnival as the first appointment on its annual calendar. The Children's Carnival kicks off a season full of initiatives designed for the community, ranging from the Trinity Festival in spring to the Strevi Ferragosto in summer.

Program and activities

The afternoon is built around the great carnival classics, tailored for children:

• Hot fritters and a sweet buffet for the little ones;
• the traditional pentolaccia, the carnival game that concludes the party amidst confetti and surprises;
• music and entertainment to engage both children and parents;
• face painting, with colorful designs and masks painted on faces.

The atmosphere is that of the simple, familiar Piedmontese village festivals, where the intimate scale of the village allows adults and children to come together and have fun.
