Chestnut and Zeppola Spignese Festival

From October 17 to 19, 2025, the village of Spigno Saturnia Superiore, in the province of Latina, hosted the 38th Chestnut and Zeppola Spignese Festival, organized by the municipal administration with local social and recreational associations and the patronage of the Lazio Regional Council.

The food stalls in Piazza San Giovanni were open on Friday from 6 PM to midnight, Saturday from 5 PM, and Sunday from the afternoon, offering roasted chestnuts, the famous De.Co. zeppola spignese—the vibrant green chicory and wild herb omelet—and the onion-based variant known as 'frittata ceca', along with local products. The tastings were accompanied by music and dancing until late at night, inflatables, and children's entertainment; on Sunday, the craft market and family entertainment also enlivened Piazza Canzana.
