Cheese FestiVal di Sole 2025
The tenth Alpine Dairy Cheese Auction took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Castel Caldes, serving as the grand finale of the Cheese FestiVal di Sole. In total, 22 wheels were auctioned, with aging periods ranging from 1 to 9 years and prices between 260 and 400 euros.
The edition was a record-breaker: for the first time, three wheels reached the highest price of 400 euros each, tying for first place. On the podium were cheeses from Malga Montagnoli (Pinzolo), Malga Cercèn (Val di Rabbi), and Malga Caldèsa (Caldes). The auction saw the participation of chefs such as Giovanni D'Alitta and Sabino Fortunato, alongside restaurateurs and enthusiasts.
Before the auction, the festival animated the entire valley with the Fera dei Sèt in Ossana, the Agricultural Festival in Val di Peio, the Fera de San Maté in Malé, and Latte in Festa in Val di Rabbi with the Desmalghjada.
