The half-century of the Cesanese Festival

The 2025 edition, the 50th, took place in Olevano Romano from Thursday, August 28 to Sunday, August 31 and was celebrated as an important milestone for the community: fifty years of a festival born to promote the Cesanese di Olevano Romano DOC and which has become over time one of the most followed food and wine events in the Metropolitan City of Rome.

The historic center was closed to traffic for the entire duration of the event, with producer and artisan stands distributed along the village's streets and squares. Among the most popular initiatives was Street-side Dining, with Olevano's establishments setting up outdoor tables starting Friday, August 29, offering traditional Lazio dishes paired with local wines.

The four evenings featured concerts, theater performances, guided tastings, and winery visits, with a shuttle service activated by the organizers to connect the parking areas to the center. The closing was entrusted, as tradition dictates, to the parade of allegorical floats created by neighborhood groups.
