Cecapreti and Bufaletta Festival

The 2025 edition of the festival, the 45th in its modern history, was held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the historic center of Villa Santo Stefano, in the province of Frosinone. As per tradition, the evening in Piazza Umberto I featured the distribution of cecapreti—the simple flour-and-water pasta worked by hand—dressed with sauce and served together with bufaletta, the buffalo meat stew with a side of vegetables, all accompanied by wines from the Frosinone territory.

Organized by the Pro Loco Villa Santo Stefano APS with the patronage of the Municipality and the Tourism Department of the Lazio Region, the festival enlivened the village in the Amaseno Valley with live music and a market, confirming itself as one of the most heartfelt gastronomic events of the summer in Ciociaria.
