The Castellana Beerock Festival is a summer highlight dedicated to live rock music and beer culture, held in the Villa Comunale Tacconi in Castellana Grotte, in the heart of the Bari province, Puglia. The event blends three simple yet winning ingredients: great music, quality beer, and the convivial atmosphere of summer evenings in the open air.
Music, beer, and street food
The festival features a multi-night program with concerts ranging from tribute bands to historic names of the Italian scene. The stage at the municipal park hosts rock guitar performances, DJ sets, and bands paying homage to icons like AC/DC and Vasco Rossi, alongside independent live acts. The musical experience is complemented by a rich food and drink selection: traditional German beers, Italian craft beers, a variety of wines, and delicious street food including grilled meats, fish & chips, and authentic Apulian focaccia.
An evening for everyone
Beerock was born with the spirit of a popular festival: a chance for friends, families, and music lovers to gather in a relaxed, social environment. Evenings typically start early and continue late into the night, with main concerts on the park stage and food stands open throughout the event. Admission is free, a key factor that has ensured its success with the public since its very first edition.

Castellana Grotte is world-renowned for its famous Grotte di Castellana, one of the most spectacular cave systems in Italy. Located in the Bari hinterland between the Murgia plateau and the Itria Valley, the town offers visitors a wealth of natural beauty and culinary heritage. The Castellana Beerock Festival is part of the Piazze d'Estate summer calendar, promoted by the Municipality of Castellana Grotte in collaboration with Grotte di Castellana srl, and stands out as one of the most vibrant and youthful musical events in the local area.

Beerock Festival — edition 2026

Getting there
Castellana Grotte is located in the province of Bari, Puglia. By car, it can be reached via the SS100 (Bari-Taranto) road, taking the exit for Castellana Grotte. By train, it is served by the Ferrovie del Sud Est lines with connections from Bari. The nearest airport is Bari-Palese.

The event takes place at Villa Comunale Tacconi, located in the town center and easily accessible on foot from the historic district.
