Edition 2025 — Donkey Sausage Festival

In August 2025, Castelferro di Predosa (AL) renewed its appointment with the Donkey Sausage Festival, the historic gastronomic celebration dedicated to donkey meat. As per a tradition established for nearly half a century, the Polisportiva M. Denegri stand offered sausages, polenta with tapulone, farm-to-table agnolotti, and typical Upper Monferrato dishes every evening, accompanied by free music and dancing that enlivened the mid-August evenings in the Alessandria village.

The 2025 edition of the Donkey Sausage Festival took place in August in Castelferro, a village in Predosa (Province of Alessandria), at the Polisportiva M. Denegri area. The event confirmed the formula that has made it famous for decades: a kitchen entirely dedicated to donkey meat, with tapulone served with polenta as the star dish, donkey sausages and roasts, fresh agnolotti, and Monferrato wines.

Every evening, alongside the food stand, there was free music and dancing, stalls selling local and artisanal products, and rides for children, in a festive atmosphere that attracted numerous visitors from all over the Province of Alessandria.
