Casaleone celebrates its asparagus
The Casaleone Asparagus Festival is the feast that in the Bassa Veronese, in the province of Verona, highlights one of the most typical spring products: asparagus. Recently established but already rooted in the local calendar, the event takes place in April in Piazza della Pace and the town's multi-purpose area.
Gastronomy, conferences, and excursions
Organized by the Pro Loco Carpanea in collaboration with the Consortium for the Valorization of Asparagus of Verona, the festival combines taste and local culture. The food stand offers traditional dishes reinterpreted with asparagus, while the program alternates moments of institutional discussion—conferences dedicated to the cultivation and promotion of the product—with excursions to discover the agricultural territory of the Bassa.
A festival for the whole family
Alongside the food, the festival offers entertainment for all ages, with a lively funfair and stalls selling local products. It's an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Veronese plain and the excellence of its asparagus, in a village festival atmosphere.
Asparagus Festival — edition 2026
The Casaleone Asparagus Festival 2026 takes place from April 9th to 12th in Casaleone (VR), in Piazza della Pace and the multi-purpose area. The official opening is Thursday, April 9th at 6 PM with an inaugural conference in the Municipal Council Hall; at 7:30 PM the inauguration at the multi-purpose area, followed at 8 PM by the inaugural dinner with a fixed menu, by reservation.
On the following days, the food stand opens at 8 PM with asparagus-based dishes. The program includes moments of institutional discussion, excursions in the area, and entertainment for the whole family, with a funfair and stalls selling local products. Organized by Pro Loco Carpanea with the Consortium for the Valorization of Asparagus of Verona.
