About Carpinfiore

Carpinfiore is one of the most important and long-standing plant and flower markets in Italy. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, the historic center of Carpi (Modena) transforms into an open-air garden: over 160 exhibitors and floriculturists from all over Italy animate a route of more than a kilometer through squares, streets, and gardens. Free admission, rare plants, workshops, and gastronomic specialties for a weekend entirely dedicated to greenery and nature.

When spring blossoms in the center of Carpi

For over thirty years, Carpinfiore has been the event that announces the change of season in the heart of Carpi, in the Province of Modena. Founded in 1992, the event has grown to become one of the most important and followed horticultural exhibitions at a national level, capable of attracting gardening enthusiasts, collectors, and the simply curious from all over Emilia-Romagna and beyond. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, the historic center dresses up for a party and transforms into a large, widespread garden.

A green snake over a kilometer long

The heart of Carpinfiore is an exhibition route of over a kilometer that winds through the most beautiful streets and squares of the city: from Piazza dei Martiri, one of the largest arcaded squares in Italy, to Corso Alberto Pio, passing through Piazza Garibaldi, Via Matteotti, Via Mazzini, Piazzale Re Astolfo, Corso Roma, and the Gardens of the Theatre. Along this itinerary, you will find over 160 carefully selected exhibitors: floriculturists offering common varieties and rare botanical specimens difficult to find elsewhere, nurserymen ready to give advice on plant cultivation and care, as well as artisans of terracotta pots, wooden nests, and garden decorations.

Not just plants

Carpinfiore is much more than a flower market. Along the route, you will find areas dedicated to gardening machinery and equipment, craft markets, and a small square reserved for local food specialties. In Piazza Garibaldi, educational workshops, children's readings, and thematic meetings come to life, while a gastronomic walk accompanies the visit with regional flavors. It is an event designed for the whole family, where the passion for greenery intertwines with craftsmanship, natural well-being, and the rediscovery of the city center.

A Carpi tradition

Organized by SGP srl with the brand Piazze in Fiore and sponsored by the Municipality of Carpi, the event is a reference point for trade and promotion of the Carpi territory. Admission is always free: strolling among the fragrant stalls of Carpinfiore is now a ritual that thousands of people renew at each edition.
