Caroots – San Vito Carrot Festival

Caroots 2025: The first edition

The first edition of Caroots was held on April 5-6, 2025, in the village of San Vito, a hamlet of Polignano a Mare, closing with over 30,000 attendees, including many families. The village streets hosted street food and tasting stands inspired by the San Vito Carrot, show cooking, and taste workshops, as well as markets and musical moments.

Ample space was dedicated to the culture of the product with the conference "The San Vito Carrot, a Slow Food Presidium that unites territory, culture, and citizens" and guided tours organized by the Pro Loco. Among the most curious offerings was a special carrot gelato made by local ice cream parlors. The event, organized by the AIP – Association of Polignano Entrepreneurs with the Hoteliers' Association, UCP, restaurateurs, and Confartigianato, and supported by Puglia Promozione, was served by a free shuttle from the train station.
