A Carnival Party for the Little Ones

During Carnival, the municipal "G. Ceccarelli" Library in Gatteo, Emilia-Romagna, opens its doors to children for an afternoon entirely dedicated to fun. The Carnival Tombola in the Library is an annual event that transforms the reading room into a place of games, colours, and costumes, within the "Gli Antonelli architetti da Gatteo" Cultural Centre.

A Masked Tombola with Prizes and Snacks

The heart of the event is the classic tombola, here revisited in a carnival style: children participate strictly in costume and, with their cards in hand, await the drawing of numbers, hoping to be the first to complete ambo, terno, quaterna, and tombola. Prizes designed for the little ones await the winners, while the atmosphere is enlivened by games and fun tailored to their age.

At the end of the afternoon, a snack for all participants is planned, an opportunity to share a moment of socialising and celebration together, in the true spirit of Carnival.

An Initiative by the Municipality of Gatteo

The event is promoted by the municipal "G. Ceccarelli" Library, which organises numerous activities for children and families throughout the year, from read-aloud sessions to tombolas related to traditional festivals. The library, located at Via Roma 13 in Gatteo (Province of Forlì-Cesena), also features the "Stanza del Racconto" (Story Room) dedicated to children aged 0 to 7.

The Carnival Tombola is part of the cultural initiatives calendar of the Municipality of Gatteo, a small town in Romagna between the hinterland and the Adriatic coast, and represents a simple and free opportunity to experience Carnival in company, while also valuing the library as a community space.
