The families' Carnival in the medieval village of Arquà Petrarca
Carnevale nel Borgo brings the colors and joy of Carnival to the heart of Arquà Petrarca, in the province of Padua: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, nestled in the Euganean Hills and famous for being the last home of the poet Francesco Petrarca. The festival takes place in Piazza Petrarca, the living room of the historic center, and is designed primarily for families and children.
The program is a sequence of group games, musical games, and prize games, with music and entertainment provided by the entertainers of Lachi Kids. There is also face painting and the eagerly awaited costume awards, which showcase the creativity of the little ones each year. Everything takes place over an afternoon, in an intimate and convivial atmosphere that enhances the village's human scale.
The event is jointly organized by the Municipality of Arquà Petrarca, the Pro Loco, and the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta, demonstrating the collaborative spirit that animates the town's life. Experiencing Carnival in Arquà means combining fun with a stroll through one of the most evocative historical and landscape settings in the Veneto region.
