About Carnival in the Square
The Village Carnival on the Riviera del Brenta
In the heart of the Riviera del Brenta, halfway between Padua and Venice, the municipality of Camponogara (province of Venice) celebrates Carnival with the Carnival in the Square festival. Organized directly by the Municipality of Camponogara, it's the event that transforms the town center into a large open-air playground.
An Afternoon for the Whole Community
The formula is that of the best village festivals: music, entertainment, masks, and lots of confetti. Children, families, and groups of friends arrive in costume and fill the square, where there's no shortage of entertainment and that atmosphere of shared joy that characterizes the Venetian Carnival. It's a party designed especially for the little ones, but capable of involving all generations.
A Town Tradition
Included in the calendar of municipal events, Carnival in the Square is one of the most cherished social moments of the cold season in Camponogara, and it complements the many events that liven up the town throughout the year.
Carnival in the Square — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Carnival in the Square takes place in Camponogara on Sunday, March 15, from 3:00 PM. The town center fills with masks, confetti, music, and entertainment, in a celebration designed especially for children and families.
The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Camponogara, which invites the entire community to participate in costume.

How to get there
Camponogara can be reached by car from the SS309 Romea or the SP18; it is connected by ACTV bus lines to the Dolo and Mestre area. The festival takes place in the town center.
