Carnival celebrations spread across Monza's neighborhoods
Carnival in the Neighborhoods is the distributed version of the Carnival of Monza, the capital of Brianza. Unlike the large central celebrations, this initiative brings the joy of masks directly into the city neighborhoods, with events spread across parks, civic centers, oratories, and schools. It's a local Carnival, designed to involve local communities and families where they live.
The program is full of activities designed for children: masked parades starting from schools, creative workshops, baby dance, games, face painting, and snacks. Each neighborhood organizes its own events, often in collaboration with local associations, preschools, and marching bands, creating moments of shared celebration and community gathering for families in the area.
Carnival in the Neighborhoods complements the city's Carnival offerings, alongside the parades in the historic center. Its strength lies precisely in its distributed and community-focused nature: instead of concentrating everything in one square, it spreads the celebration, enhancing Monza's various neighborhoods and making Carnival accessible to everyone. For families in Brianza, it's an opportunity to experience the festivities close to home, in an atmosphere of joy and sharing.
The 2026 edition of Carnival in the Neighborhoods spreads the celebration across Monza's districts from February 13th to 17th. Masked parades, creative workshops, baby dance, and games animate parks, civic centers, and oratories, in a local Carnival designed for families and children in the area.
