The Cherry Festival in Carnago
In the town of Carnago, in the Province of Varese, the Cherry Festival is now a well-established tradition: organized by the Alpini Group of Carnago, it reaches its 16th edition and transforms the Festa Area in Via Brianzola into a large space for celebration, gastronomy, and music for five days.
The Food Stand
The heart of the festival is the food stand, which opens every evening from 7:30 PM with traditional dishes prepared by the Alpini volunteers. On weekends, the service also extends to lunch, with a menu that blends local cuisine and specialties of the field kitchen dear to the Alpini.
Music and Dancing Every Evening
Every evening features live music and dancing: from ballroom orchestras to shows for families, in a atmosphere of popular celebration that draws residents of Carnago and neighboring towns. Activities for children liven up the weekend afternoons.
June 2nd: The Constitution for the Newly-Adults
The festival concludes on June 2nd, Republic Day, with a particularly meaningful civic ceremony: the Municipality presents copies of the Italian Constitution to the newly-adults, combining the popular festival with an act of civic education. It is a closing that gives the event a significance that goes beyond mere conviviality, rooting it in the life of the Carnago community.

The 2026 edition of the Cherry Festival, the 16th, enlivens Carnago from May 29th to June 2nd in the Festa Area of Via Brianzola. The food stand opens every evening from 7:30 PM, with lunch also available on public holidays. Each evening is marked by live music, with dance orchestras; the weekend also offers activities for families. The festival concludes on Tuesday, June 2nd, Republic Day, with the presentation of the Constitution to the newly-adults at noon.
